Pakistan will request ICC for neutral venue in World Cup:CC meeting in Durban next week, match against India on October 15

Pakistan is determined to have its matches at neutral venues in the ODI World Cup. In the ICC meeting to be held in Durban, South Africa next week, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) acting chairman Zaka Ashraf may demand Pakistan’s matches to be held at neutral venues.

Actually, the Asia Cup is to be played from 31 August to 13 September. It has been hosted by Pakistan. India refused to play in Pakistan. After this it was decided to have most of the matches including all the matches of India in Sri Lanka. Pakistan board is angry on this.

Pakistan’s Sports Minister Ehsan Mazari has said, ‘Zaka Ashraf will raise this issue in the ICC meeting that when the Indian team cannot come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup, then why Pakistan’s matches in the World Cup also cannot be played at neutral venues. ‘

ICC has released the schedule International Cricket Council has already released the schedule of ODI World Cup to be hosted by India. Compared to this, it is to be held from 5 October to 19 November. As per the schedule, the India-Pakistan match is to be played on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. see full schedule
